Poole Freeform Vase

  • Anyone who collects Freeform vases knows that there can be significant variations on the quality of the decoration. This 8in shape 685 vase in the YCS pattern is one of the best examples I've seen. The detailing of the decoration is of the highest quality and this set it apart from later examples.

The vase has been decorated by Betty Gooby between 1952 and 1955 and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks of other damage. For accuracy - there are two small areas of grinding to the footrim which were done in the factory to remove spots of glaze on the foot rim that would have scratched table surfaces.
