This is a really different piece of Poole Atlantis pottery.

Thrown and decorated by Susan Dimple prior to the standardisation of the Atlantis range, it is a one-off piece which doesn't fit the usual Atlantis shapes. As you can see, this curio is rectangular in cross section and without a footrim so it was either hand-built rather than thrown or thrown and then shaped by hand.

Either way, it is a highly unusual piece and certainly stands-out from the normal vases. It is 3in long and 3.5in high and in excellent order with no damage whatsoever.
