A rare early studio piece by the master himself.

This is a lovely early Poole Studio Vase thrown and decorated by Guy Sydenham (indicated by the impressed triangular mark on the base.

The vase has been decorated using the wax-resist method whereby the vase has been covered in wax and a thick green glaze applied over top. When it's fired the wax burns off leaving the glaze looking molten.

The vase is 2.5in high and 3.5in in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
