This is the very rare short version of the shape 37 studio vase that was only produced for a very short period in 1962/3.
The vase is just over 6 inches high, is hand carved and glazed with the experimental Aventurine glaze. It has the early TV screen backstamp and although unsigned, one from the same batch recently appeared on Ebay (August 2014)with Guy Sydenham's signature on it so this is undoubtedly one of his pieces.
The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage
