This is a shape 20 Poole Studio vase, more commonly known as a teardrop vase. These vases are rare and very seldom come p for sale. This one is a early example with the TV Poole mark and has been thrown and decorated by Guy Sydenham - this can be seen by the impressed triangle on the base which Guy used in the early Studio pieces.

The vase is 9 inches tall and in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or other damage.
