This is an original Seal produced by John Skeaping for Wedgwood in the 1930s.

The Seal is 8in high and 8in in length and is glazed in rarer Celadon Green glaze. It has the impressed marks for Wedgwood and Skeaping on the base that are missing on the later reproduction pieces and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks of crazing. For accuracy there is a very small piece of grit in the glaze where the seals body meets the base.
